Henry Warren Smith (US1843spouse1) wrote these 4 letters to his wife Elvira Lorrain Foster Smith (US1843) and aunt Parsons during the year 1840. The scans are what the eBay seller offered and despite THFFI's best efforts we did not win the auction. They sold for $560.00. THFFI appealed to the seller to scan all the pages but it is hard to tell if he captured everything with these scans. This is the best we have of these communications sadly. It represents a loss of knowledge to the family. We place these letters in the database for what information we can draw from them and hope it will be a clue for future researchers of what is out there and may be "captured" sometime in the future. The seller’s description mistakes what is offered—he missed the fact one of them was to his aunt.
