In this letter Ronald Herbert Prentice (IR1111) starts by asking Richard W. Hungerford Jr. (US26) if he would seek approval to copy an article about The Hungerford Rocket Car (THG70) found in a magazine a copy of which was enclosed with the letter. (Richard did do so and got the permission Ronald wanted.) Mr. Prentice then brings up a letter he got from a Mr. Michael O'Connell of the West Cork Regional Museum asking Ronald, as a representative of The Hungerford & Associated Families Society, Inc. (CMP73), if they would share any Hungerford documents of Ireland they had. Ronald was a little put out due to the lack of an offer to cover the expenses of fulfilling such a request.

Ronald then discusses another love of his life, old automobiles, and his #2 son's 1904 De Dion Bouton and a 1911 Daimler he had placed an offer-to-buy upon. He closes out the letter saying he was going to spend a month with his son and away from genealogy enjoying not having to deal with HAFS day-to-day issues.
