This document is a copy of a petition dated 18 Oct 1762 at Portsmouth, New Hampshire signed by Samuel Hungerford (SH14) requesting a tract of land "capable of making Three Townships of Six Miles Square or Equal thereto upon some Convenient Suitable Place where your Excellency & Honours shall see fit & your Petitioners as in Duty Bound Shall Pray etc."
