The letter writer wrote to Richard to see if he had any material on her research subject--the Hooker family. There is a Hooker connection with the Hungerford family--see US1872wife--Mary Seymour Hooker. The original American Hooker may have played a part in why Thomas Hungerford appeared in Hartford in the 1630s. More research is needed in this area.
