This letter, which was mailed on 16 Feb 1922 with the letterhead of "Miss C. E. Mason's School, The Castle, Tarrytown-on-Hudson, New York, starts out with the greeting "My dearest red-headed sister..." and dives into her news from there. The sister is in fact her sister-in-law Ellen Bobbitt (SH1181wife). Ruth (SH868b) tells of the good times she has had in the city--NYC--visiting art museums and going to operas. She has a group of friends that she "bums around with" and she thinks Ellen would like them all. Her letter is obviously from the 18 year old she is and seems to be written by a 1920s flapper-in-the-making.
