As indicated by the caption, this image shows a late seventeenth century Beauvais tapestry, "The Offerings of Bacchus." The tapestry was hung in the Mackay mansion's dining room.

The caption accompanying this photograph reads as follows:

One of a serries [sic] of 'grotesque' late seventeenth century Beauvais tapestries, 'The Offerings of Bacchus' that formed an apropos decoration for Harbor Hill's dining room.

Obviously, the word "serries" is a typographical error that should be "series" instead.

An image of the dining room dating to 1902 has been placed here in the Library.

An image of the dining room dating to 1904 also has been placed here in the Library.

An image of the dining room dating to 1927 has been placed here in the Library, as well.
