As indicated by the caption, this image shows the Mackay mansion's great hall and it's second floor gallery as well as the Venetian lantern.

The caption accompanying this image reads as follows:

The great hall's gallery, above the entrance hall, acted as the second floor's cross corridor. Pierced strap-work, reminiscent of a purdah screen, helped to supply light into room
