Several articles about Steve Hayes during his High School and College years
Steven Leonard Hayes (IR6001) was a stand-out basketball player in his high school and college days. He made the newspapers frequently. Presented here are three representative newspaper articles from 1973, 1976, and 1977 that gives the reader a bit of his history at the time. The 6 Aug 1976 issue of Pocatello, Idaho's "Idaho State Journal" is part of this grouping because it links Steve to his family as it contains a letter to the editor from his father (Ralph Myrt Hayes (IR5998)) complaining about some negative press Steve got from a sports writer.
