This document is comprised of a single, hand written letter dated 28 Nov 1975 from Nanette Meals of Peoria, Illinois to Stanley W. Hungerford.
The letter begins by Nanette saying that she got Stanley's name from Pat Mahokey (Patricia Lee Lockman) (US4663 in the Surnames Database).
She states in her letter: "My Samuel Stewart b 1734 married Patience Hungerford about 1770 in or near Mansfield, Conn. They had 9 children - I have their names & who they married but I know absolutely nothing about Patience." [Underlining in the original.]
She goes on to state that she would appreciate any "clues" that Stanley might be willing to share. Apparently, Stanley had no clues to offer since there is no Patience Hungerford who married a Samuel Stewart and had 9 children listed in his book. Their omission from his book is curious, however, since Nanette provided the names of those 9 children and the names of their spouses in her 3 Jan 1976 letter to Stanley.
Patience Hungerford (M1218a in the surnames database) and Samuel Stewart (M1218ahusb in the surnames database) are included in the database.
