The periodical features the horse Continental on the front and tells us the animal was owned by Messrs. White and Hungerford. (SH254) Mr. Rufus Putnam White and Gen. Solon Dexter Hungerford both lived in Adams, New York, were wealthy, successful men who also happened to be the respective fathers of Robert Bradner and Sybella (White) Hungerford.
