I'm unsure of who Anne is to T. R. Hungerford. The letter has a warmth to it and implies they (a Clara is mentioned in the letter) are familiar with his family. They know he plans to go abroad soon. The letter also states they received his letter the night before and even though it had bad news they were happy to hear from him. The news has to do with a real estate transaction. They thank him for the legwork he has done regarding the "George Town property." She mentions several men he has interacted with on their behalf.
