This document is a copy of a stock certificate that was issued by The Hungerford Iron Rail Road Tie Manufacturing Company.
This company was incorporated during 1882 as a result of Elias B. Hungerford's patent being granted by the United States Patent Office. There is currently some confusion as to the identity of Elias. It is thought that he is either US1734 or SH566.
