The Hungerford Family Foundation, Inc. achieved the 2018 Platinum Seal of Transparency on GuideStar.
The Platinum Seal of Transparency is awarded only to those nonprofit organizations that have met the GuideStar requirements for demonstrating maximum transparency.
Time Magazine said this: “GuideStar has grown into the nation’s premier nonprofit database.”
And USA Today said: “Fans inclined to make a contribution ... ought to do a little homework be-fore writing out the check. A good first stop is GuideStar.”
There are four levels of transparency that can be achieved on GuideStar: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Those requirements included, among other things, disclosure of THFFI financial results, THFFI objectives, and metrics for measuring THFFI success in achieving those objectives.
