  • National Recognition for The Hungerford World Tree: The Hungerford World Tree was awarded first place by the National Genealogy Association (NGS) in the Family Association Newsletter category.

  • Additional Recognition for THFFI: The Hungerford Family Foundation, Inc. achieved the 2018 Platinum Seal of Transparency on GuideStar for the highest level of transparency awarded to nonprofit organizations.

  • THFFI 2017 Audited Financial Statements: The audited financial statements for the THFFI 2017 fiscal year have been completed and posted to the Library in the website.

  • Car Raffle: THFFI is conducting a car raf-fle fundraiser that beran as we went to press. The winner will receive a 2019 Lex-us ES350 worth approximately $55,000.

  • Paula J. Wynne Hungerford: We profile Paula J. Wynne Hungerford, winner of the Meadowlark Award.

  • Hungerford Survivor of the Titanic Disaster: We received an inquiry whether one of the survivors of the RMS Titanic disaster might have been a Hungerford. We confirm that fact and profile Helen Churchill Hungerford.

  • Brick Walls and the Hungerford-Morgan Line of Descent. Roger Francis Patrick Hungerford-Morgan contacts your editor about an apparent connection; we tell the story.

  • Notable Library Additions: Several notable books and vital records have been added to the Library. We list the most important of them for you.
