This is a five page, hand written letter dated 19 May 1975 from John Ives Hungerford to Stanley W. Hungerford.

The writer mentions that his son, Thomas, was named after the first Thomas Hungerford to arrive in America.

He states that he is the 7th generation to have lived on the farm in Hadlyme, Connecticut and states that he owns the 1733 bible first owned by Deborah Hungerford. He ends the letter by mentioning that John B. Hungerford had died only the past week.
