Newman Hungerford (SH625) was an amateur photographer who took pictures of interesting people, places and things in the two areas in which he lived--the States of Connecticut and Georgia. Newman turned them into a money-making venture by creating Real Picture Post Cards out of the photos. His work is valuable to historians and preservationists as the objects and places he captured were soon to be bull-dozed or in some other way destroyed. This photo is of the old cemetery in Harwinton, Connecticut. You can see his name on the back of the RPPC near where the messages were to be written to the recipients.
