Two parts and all written or typed on an envelope. The hand-written portion, in pencil, appears to say "Shortbread with Capt. Speakman on the park." The second part is typed and then signed and dated. It says: "With all my love, Sweetheart. I hope they open up alright. Mother 28 June 1951." The envelope appears to have been part of a floral delivery. The penciled message probably came later as he used the envelope to make a note.
