W. R. Hauslaib was a fellow traveler with Leonard on the ship to the US in 1945. Mr. Hauslaib discusses the money he has been sending to Bruce to support his education through Anna and indicates he doesn't want to cause any inconvenience for her. He also discusses a female friend of his who is attempting to arrange a recital in Worcester, MA. He also mentions how she got a lot of her friends to listen to Leonard's playing on the Godfrey Talent Hour. He covers other things such as Leonard worrying about gaining a little weight and touches upon Leonard's teacher Mr. Friedberg.
