Hungerford, Becher William 1949 May 9 letter to pianist Bruce Hungerford
Becher William Hungerford IR188 writes to Leonard (aka Bruce) Hungerford IR299 and tells him his understanding that the name Becher is from the Irish branches of the Hungerford family and states they are probably related because of the presence of that name in both their lines. He also mentions his uncle Walter Hungerford being a professor of piano at McGill University in Montreal. Bruce and Walter Hungerford would share correspondence most likely from this comment in the letter. This letter was found in the Hungerfordiana portion of the Bruce Hungerford collection.
