Sir,

At the meeting of the Guardians on Friday last, the 26th inst[ant], a resolution, -moved by the Chairman and seconded by the Vice-Chairman - was unanimously carried, expressing the regret of the Board on the death of your Father, and I was directed to write and convey to you, and the other members of your family, an expression of the Board's deep sympathy on the great and irreparable loss that you have sustained.

Permit me also to give expression
