My dear Arkwright.

I cannot repair from sending youa few lines of dear sympathy - most sincere I can assure you in the loss of your dear Father  - & in which Lady Mildred & my children join.  I saw something of him when at ______

when he came for luncheon tea etc. as my mothers & how cheery & nice he was to my children - he told me then he was fast going down hill - but I did not think we should lose so soon so fine & dear an Englishman & County Gentleman.  I housed your Uncle Arthur he with

with you as it is sad times.  Express to him my heartfelt sympathy too; he will not remember me but he Captain of my tutors at Eton.  Do not trouble to answer.  It is & at the same time do not think it as I am intending at this moment?
