On the other side I send you a copy of a resolution passed by the Leominster Town Council at their Meeting today.

“That the Mayor Aldermen & Burgesses in Common Council Assembled record with the deepest regret the death of John Hungerford Arkwright Esquire their Chief Steward whose high character & wide sympathies have everywhere commanded the most profound respect and regard & whose loss will be felt not only in his immediate neighborhood & the Borough of Leominster but in every part of the County & elsewhere & That a copy of this resolution be forwarded to John S. Arkwright Esq: M. P. & extended on the proceedings of this Meeting.”
