After previous marriage in the United States of America a record of which will be found in the State Office Montpelier Vermont – were married by Licence from his Excellency the Governor General & in presence of the subscribing witnesses at St. George’s Church Granby on Saturday the twenty-first day of May in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred & fifty-nine Joseph Burchard Hungerford Esq Farmer & mill proprietor son of Simeon Hungerford & Elizabeth Burchard – To Margaret daughter of Thomas Echlin & Mary Early his wife of Perth Canada West. Both parties of the Towns of Granby & of major age.
