1873 Oct 18 J. H. Lamb postcard to Al. L. Hungerford

The card reads:

Those Temperance papers I gave to you or Miss Mackie—I don’t know exactly which one—but I certainly gave it to some of the Teachers the next day after school closed. Consequently I don’t know anything about them.

It seems the papers are missing and J. H. Lamb is throwing up his or her hands saying it is no longer in my possession so I can't help you.

Richard W Hungerford Jr - Eureka! I thought to check the 1870 Federal Census record for Virginia and low and behold there is an Almore Hungerford, daughter of Henry and Alfonza Adalaide Hungerford in Richmond. She is only 5 but the name seems to connect her or her mom (Al for Alfonza? Middle initial "L." for (per Wikipedia) Nickname(s), Addie, Della, Aida, Lainey, Adele, Delly, Leda, Adela, and Aley.)
