Coningsby Hospital
Jan. 19th, 1899

Dear Commander,

I hope these few lines will find you & your family quite well.  I am sorry to say that I have not been well now for nearly 4 Months.  The Doctor orders me strengthing things I found much nourishment in the rebbits you were kind enough to send me for which I beg to thank you.  Also Mrs. Arkwright for the Tea sent to the inmates and all wish to return you their grateful thanks for the capital Dinner which we all much enjoyed.
