Back in the 1990s Richard W. Hungerford Jr. submitted daily Hungerford tidbits to fellow Hungerford family researchers on a platform known as the Hungerford Listserver. A. J. had gotten a reply (that you can see--click here) and wanted to have it shared. The gist of it: D. Gail Saunders, Director of Archives, in Nassau, The Bahamas replied to an email A. J. Hungerford sent inquiring about Thomas Hungerford (See page 59 of A Summary Of The Families Hungerford, Descendants of Thomas of Connecticut, Including A Brief History of the Hungerford Family In England from the 12th Century, And Descendants of: Thomas of Ireland, William of Maryland, and Thomas of Maryland which states: "A Thomas 'Hungerfoot' was reported aboard a vessel which called in the West Indies in 1638.") and got the attached reply by the Director of Archives who reported not finding Thomas but instead finding a Benjamin Hungerford.
