Richard W. Hungerford Jr. did a compilation of genealogical facts taken from Watertown, New York's "New York Reformer" that extracted vital records from the 1851 to 1861 timeframe in several volumes.  His editor and publisher, Patricia James, also published several journals including the "Genealogical Journal of Jefferson County, New York."

The attached letter came from one of her readers asking for a copy of the actual newspaper article of several entries she thought Patricia took from Richard's book and placed in one of her articles.  That was an offering made in the narrative of the journal.  Arlene erred in that the entries she wanted came from another source--not the "New York Reformer."  You can see her letter and Richard's reply here.
