The fellow wrapping his arm around this large model train is Gen.Clark Hungerford (22 Dec 1899-18 Oct 1962) son of Homer Leslie & Elizabeth Phillips (Clark) Hungerford. He is one of many Hungerfords who rose to top leadership positions in the railroad industry. Clark was, amongst other positions, President of the Frisco railroad. During WWII he was tapped to be in charge of ensuring the domestic railroads ran smoothly for the war effort. He died in Saint Louis and is buried there.
